HISTORY OF SCHOLARSHIP

From 2003 to 2006, Michael Flowers served in the United States Marines before pursuing higher education at Texas State University and obtaining his degree. Michael has long desired to support fellow service members and understands the importance of higher education. As a result, he founded the Carry The Load Scholarship, which awards a grant of $5,000 during the Carry The Load Dallas Memorial March.

The aim of the scholarship is to provide financial support to a deserving student who has lost a parent in the line of duty. The Carry The Load Scholarship is backed by The Jackson Shaw Foundation, CBRE, TradeLane Properties, and Prologis, with each donor represented on the CTL Scholarship Committee.
